Huckabee's quote was:

"I have opponents in this race who do not want to change the Constitution. But I believe it's a lot easier to change the Constitution than it would be to change the word of the living God. And thats what we need to do is amend the Constitution so it's in God's standards rather than trying to change God's standards so it lines up with some contemporary view of how we treat each other and how we treat the family."

Frightened yet?

Ummm....wow. I really think that if the Huckabee crowd gets into office, especially on the heels Bush, we will increasingly look like Iran. I mean, can't you see the Huckster replacing the Supreme Court with a panel of Evangelical jurists that decide whether US laws conform to the Bible? Oh Jesus, please save me from your followers!

Not sure how I missed this blog entry....especiaqlly with the big fat video image on the front page, but...

Preeeeeee-cisely why if Huckabee is the nominee, I will run, not walk, to the nearest poll come November and vote Democrat.

Providing the democratic nominee isn't Edwards, in which case, I'm doomed.
